Alpha-Bet Preschool is a parent cooperative hybrid model school. The school is owned and operated by a group of parents and staff who have experience in early childhood development. The cooperative model recognizes that parents are a child’s primary educator, so parents work on a rotating basis in their child’s classroom as assistants. In 2017, Alpha-Bet moved to hybrid model that allowed families who may be unable to assist in the classrooms still benefit from the small class size and community environment by opting out of acting as a teacher assistant. They still have an opportunity to act as Board Members or participate in special school events.
We offer classes for three- and four-year old children, based upon their age as of September 30th.
Alpha-Bet Cooperative Preschool is licensed by the State of Virginia Department of Social Services, and a member of Virginia Cooperative Preschool Council (VCPC) and the Parent Cooperative Preschools International (PCPI).
While Alpha-Bet is a non-sectarian (non-religious) preschool, we are housed in and partner with the Manassas Church of the Brethren (MCoB). To learn more about MCoB please click here.
Alpha-Bet offers a dynamic learning environment for preschool aged children starting at 3 years of age.
